Meet the Doulas

We are professional Doulas attending birth in Downtown Toronto since 2014. As birth and postpartum doulas, we are specially trained to provide information, physical comfort and emotional peace of mind to parents prenatally, during labour and birth, and in the immediate postpartum period.

At Doulas on Bikes, we are additionally qualified to support Hypno-Birthing parents, we use robozo and accupressure techniques for labour, and we are reliably updating and upgrading our skills. We are also birth educators! We specialize in lactation and childbirth education and offer regular workshops on various birth and parenting related topics.

Lana offers grounding and direction for new parents in their postpartum time.
She is the eldest of the sisters and joined the Doulas on Bikes team in 2021. Her first doula-type experience dates back to when she was 10 years-old and Mom gave birth to Mira.
“At that age, I was excited to have a baby sister. But I also remembering going into a kind of shock around how our lives turned upside down. In our household, we were all pitching in, kids too from an early age. So it was no different here. Mom was self-employed was back to work right upon her return from the hospital. And I was changing diapers and soothing a crying baby a lot of the time.”
As a postpartum doula, Lana is a reassuring and compassionate presence for new parents as they navigate this challenging transitional time.

    Juliet

Tough and tender, Juliet has a passion for robust advocacy, sustainable support, and finding magic. A full spectrum doula, Juliet works with families to develop tools to access self-trust, take up space, and celebrate the magic of reproductive transitions. Juliet brings a calm, kind presence to her work and a reassuring and compassionate voice for difficult moments along the way. Juliet’s true passion is in prenatal and birth support. She helps families thoroughly prepare for birth and postpartum, and aims to equally support partners as much as birthing parents. She develops tools with parents to find creativity, hone advocacy skills, and explore movement in labour. Juliet works especially well with LGBTQ parents, plus size parents, trauma survivors, neurodivergent parents, and families birthing after loss. She works in and out of hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area. Outside of doula work, Juliet is a musician, fibre artist, community organizer, and cat mom. She is an auntie to many and villager to all.
